  1. Hi,
I have donwloaded several movies off suprnova and typically i get a .bin and .cue put them on cd's or use isobuster to do some stuff and put them on a dvd and they play fine in my dvd player but the last 2 things I downloaded were 2 kvcds each and the movies stutter very badly in my dvd player. In my computer's dvd player they work fine. Is there anything I can do to solve this problem? I am a newbie so any advice is appreciated!

KVCD's are non-standard VCD's so some players will play them and others (your's) won't. Nothing you can do.

Back when I was testing and trying to make my own KVCDs I discovered that my Apex would only play KVCDs if I used 29.97 framerate. To save space ntsc KVCDs are usually made at 23.97 fps. This seemed to be a common problem from what I could see by reading other complaints.

In my case the audio had a kind of skip every second or so.

You could browse this site for old posts or go to kwag's site.

btw) Another problem with downloads is to make sure you have the right format for your country ie...pal vs ntsc.

The KVCD matrix is the only good part of his templates, but they have no application for standard VCD/DVD/etc ... but when standards are not needed, and low resolution is the target, they make for a great matrix.

Lots of things on it can cause problems.

  7. Rip them apart, re-encode the mpeg to VCD standard, burn.
TMPGEnc's mpeg tools might do it for you.
