The surest way is to use Virtual Dub mod while frameserving to TMPGEnc. There seems to be an easier way of relabeling the file extensions to .mpg. but there seems to be a failure rate of about 20% I've heard.
    Hello.

  3. I demultiplex then multiplex with Tmpgenc Mpeg Tools. I've found this is the easiest way for me to do it.

    Good luck.

bottle-necked: i tried your way but i got an error saying that there was a buffer underflow and the video might have problems.

Tommyknocker: i not sure what you meant by "use Virtual Dub mod while frameserving to TMPGEnc" ?

  5. I would then say you have a rip problem. Try ripping the vob again. If you ripped it as 1-large vob sometimes that can cause it. I've had that happen before.

At last resort just author the vob with TMPGEnc DVD Author, save to hdd folder, then demux that. Author can't encode video so the quality will be untouched. It will let you select the audio stream you want to keep and disregard the rest. This might correct the rip problem.(?)

    Good luck.

Try this guide, but use Virtual Dub mod instead of Virtual Dub.

  8. Qwerty99. I am trying to do the same thing as you did. I have Tmpge, I will see if it works. Did you have problems with the advice they gave you?
    Did it work/not work.
