  1. I have captured video as svcd format , now i am trying to extract only audio in wav or mp3 format from my video files, is there anyway i can do it ? thank you

  2. Standard SVCD uses MP2 audio I believe. You could demultiplex and convert the MP2 to wav with besweet...

    In my opinion the easiest way to do this would be to open your SVCD mpeg with Virtualdub MPEG2, go to the audio menu and select "Full Processing Mode", then go to the file menu and select "Save WAV". This will create a PCM wav file.

    If you want to create an mp3 file instead, make sure you select mp3 and the applicable bitrate by selecting "Compression" in the audio menu prior to saving as wav. When selecting a file name, move the "Save As Type" slider to "All Files" and make sure your file name ends with the ".mp3" extension instead of ".wav".

  7. Virtual Dub works well most of the time, but I have found some commercial VCD from abroad the audio extraction is not always complete.
    If you are fortunate enough to own Adobe Premier, you can separate audio and video tracks and then export the audio from there flawlessly.
