the dvd's ive tried to back up:
    Jasper Texas
    Full Metal Jacket
    Lion King 1.5
    Young Guns
    Young Guns 2

im scared to try anymore out of fear of making more coasters.

    Your kidding right?

Even if somebody wanted to help you, you've made it impossible. You gave absolutely no information about your problem. As a matter of fact, you couldn't have possibly been more vague if you tried.

If you were serious, take a little time to describe your problem and perhaps someone will help you.

None will copy? Perhaps they are being copied correctly, but your player cannot play them. Try them on your PC or a different standalone player.

  6. ok let me start by saying that i have a HP dvd writer 300i DVD+R
my stand alone is a JVC XV-S302( plays vcd, svcd, and kodak pictue cds)
now...i ripped Jasper Texas to my drive with DVDDecrypter....opened the files with clonedvd.
got "ie6 error" or something similar to that.
first i used dvdshrink to make it dvd+r size.
then i renamed the vob's (joined them in vobedit) deleted the original ifo's and make new ones with ifoedit. then burnt it with Nero6 (6.3.0.0)
plays fine in the PC but get "ERROR" on the display on standalone.
the last time i got this error in clonedvd was about a month ago...i used vobedit and ifoedit to join the vob's and make new ifo's and it played in my jvc fine. i have made many backup this exact way explained above
and the backups have always played fine until now.
now the other 4 dvd's i used the same method and got the same result
only thing diff. was the clone error.
i mentioned that a friend was having the same prob.....we have the exact same dvd burners in our pc's HP 300i's . i am not usint the original software that came with it and no firmware updates...and neither is he.
i am just wondering what has happened to both of our pc's to make this happen. all of my dvd's were ripped with dvddecrypter(the latest version)
anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

  7. whats with the extra steps? why are you useing ifoedit and vobedit? once they are ran though dvdshrink you can just burn with nero.

  8. I dont have that burner, so I dont know if I can help here.

From a pc standpoint, I would recommend a defrag of the hard drive that you are using to burn the dvdrs from.

Try it one more time using isoshrink along with your dvdshrink version and see if that works.
