  1. I have a dvd file that I have downloaded. When I open it in Windows Media Player it is perfect but when I try to encode it with TMPgenc it appears to be divided in half diagonally. I have tried various different settings but can't sort it out.

    Can anyone help please?

    Thanks

(Ignoring the 'downloaded' reference), Use Gspot or AVIcodec to find out the attributes of the video file. When you find out how it was made, it should help you to figure out how to encode it in TMPGEnc.

Sorry, but there is no such thing as an mpeg 3 video.

The audio stream may well be mpeg 3, but not the video.

Open it in gspot as has already been suggested.

Let me guess, it's a DIVX file with AC3 audio? If so, check the guides for conversion.

  8. It says it is a DIVX 3 Low- Motion but I don't see anything about an AC3 audio just says "0x0055(MP3) ID'd as MPEG-1 Layer 3".

    Thanks

Download and install the divx 3.11 codec. Use google to find it.

  10. I downloaded divx 3.11 but that did not rectify the problem. Have you any other suggestions please?

    Thanks
