ok, i guess then that it is true that it works, i'm not sure that it would work on my sony 5 cd changer. but although, on the back of my sony reciever it has a hookup for s-link? is that what someone was talking about s-video hookup.

S-Link is the sony technology for plugging one component into another and then having the first component control the second.
It has nothing to do with S-Video
