Hi Everyone, first of all thank you for reading this post.
I have a divx film (717Mb) that i want to burn to DVD via my newly bought DVDRW (Pioneer A06)
I have read as much as my brain can handle on the guides given here, but when reauthoring the film using TMPGEnc, i just cannot get my head around the settings. I'm not that bothered how long it takes to do as i can just leave this PC sat here doing it.
But after one or two attempts of creating the files(i opted for Video and Audio) i have selected them to use in DVD X Maker, but im being told a selection of messages form NON Compliant Format, (most commonly) and once i got a setting right that gave me the OK for that, but then it said there was too much filesize.
I would be most gratful if someone has a real beginners guide to all this, as im very very confused. Ive tried that many different settings, i juct cannot seem to get the hang of it.
Many thanks in advance.

Open TMPGEnc and use the wizard. Select dvd and click next, next , next until it asks you where to save the output. Pick a folder, click start. Once done load that file in an authoring program( I use dvd author). Author the file and then burn it. Use a dvdrw. You may also need to change the audio in the divx before you do anything else, but do the above first. A lot of things may need to happen also, like codecs and changing the audio to wav etc... Just try the above first.
