Is there a simple how-to guide for authoring DVD's with subtitles in the .idx/.sub file format.
I use IfoEdit to merge the .m2v and audio but cannot seem to figure out the appropriate file format IFOEdit uses for subtitles. I suspect I have to convert the .idx/.sub into another format, no? Which? and How?
I've spent the morning searching the forums for an easy HOW-TO Guide but thus far to no avail
Can anyone help?

Actually this guide shows you how to convert .subs to .srt and insert the subtitles into the dvd using ifoedit.
hope this helps.

There's even a one step sub2sup application - no need to take the route via .srt
