My rant!
I just paid some $ for a file that is WMV9 file with DRM. I’m pissed because the website said it was a RM file. (The website was not updated.) They refused a refund. I would have never bought this thing.
My gripe is with the intellectual property rights. I guess I’m old-fashioned and when I buy something, I want full access to it- anywhere, anytime! But this damn thing keeps doing a license check! So I must be on the internet to allow viewing.
All I’m saying is that this technology will be overcome. And I’ll be waiting. One side might call it “Breaking the Law”, but I don’t see it this way at all!
Yes, I would apply a license check-crack or use an application that converts it to another format if one came along. Mostly because I feel duped by the original website, but also because of the principle of the matter! I say the file is mine! Microsoft says the file is borrowed for a fee to be used under certain conditions. If they are right, then pirates will continue to rise!
My bitching for the day!
