  1. I've just attempted to load two different DVD folders into DVD Shrink and have gotten the following error: "DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue. Invalid DVD navigation structure."

I have used DVD Shrink numerous times with success on videos I've authored in Tmpgenc Author. My trial on that ended, and I wanted to give DVD-Lab a try before deciding. I authored my first video on it and burned it. It plays fine. I authored two more, but both must first be shrunk to fit. When I attempt to open the folders in Shrink I get the previously mentioned error. It would appear these programs aren't playing well together. Any ideas?

    Thanks

Are you using DVDDecrypter? If so, did you upgrade to 3.1.9.0? DVD Shrink doesn't like rips from 3.1.8.0 or higher. (At least for now) I had to go back to 3.1.7.0 to keep Shrink happy.

    Hope this helps.

Use an earlier version of DVD Shrink version 2.0 I think, just run it through with no compression, it should correct the file structure and then you can use the newer version 3.
Just shut up and listen dumbass

  4. Thank you both for your replies. I've found the problem.

First, it was a movie I recorded off of TV, so I hadn't used Decrypter.
Second, I tried Shrink 2.0. It got further than 3.0 (it opened up the menus, but failed to open the movie itself).

In snooping around DVD Lab I changed the "project size" setting from full-size DVD to half-size (referring to resolutions). My movie was half-size, but DVD Lab recommended leaving the setting at full-size even if you have a half-size movie (for compatibility reasons). Anyway, I put it to half, authored it, and Shrink recognized it.

    Thanks much!
