I am now capturing properly with the correct field order, however, about 2 weeks ago, when I had an old version of MMC, I was getting the backwards field order. Does TMPGEnc alow you to reverse the field order if the video is incorrect? If so, Is TMPGEnc the only program to do this for me? Thanks.

TMPGenc does, as does versions of CCE and probably others, but you can also frame-serve with Avisynth and reverse the order as well.

I always love LordSmurf's short and to-the-point answers.
Do I just click the checkbox for "Top Field First?" That's the only thing I can think of. Many of those other settings I'm not familiar with.[/img]

Yes that's it. TOP FIELD. Then save new file.

On a side note, yeah, my answers here are short. Spend most time on my own site's upgrades, e-mail and new paid support forums (which is where I give in-depth answers with pictures and all). Expect big news on the site before this month ends.

That's best in my narrowminded opinion....

    Here is what I tried.
De-mux in TMPGEnc Plus, and run the video portion through Restream. I then took the resulting video and Re-mux in TMPGEnc. The resulting video was out of sync. I also tried TDA....I loaded the video and audio as seperate sources. I got better results, but still out of sync.
Here's the interesting part. When I go to de-mux in TMPGEnc Plus, I don't have just 2 sreams (audio and video) to save. I have 2 extra streams in my video. One was called a Padding Stream. Is that some mechanism my capture card built into the .mpg file to keep it in sync? My source video is MPEG2, 352x480, 4Mbps.
TMPGEnc recoding always throws my videos out of sync, so I haven't tried that to reverse field order, but I will try tonight. Thoughts and opinions are appreciated. Thanks.
