Just tried ripping a movie to Nero Digital. I used to do a lot of Divx conversions to CDr with many other tools in the past. Often needed several tools to get the job done and often had troubles with out of sync audio or not really great video quality. Poped in my copy of Haloween 1 and opened up Recode and chose Nero Digital. After anlizing the DVD I chose main movie and bagan to rip it. It only took about 55 min where with DVDx it would take several hours. The file size was just under 700mb and to my surpirse, looked pretty darn good. Obviously. not as good as direct rip to dvd=r with other progs such as DVD Shringor nero recode but still pretty darn good. Comsidering it was now about 690 Mbs. So for those who only have a DVD Rom, I greatly recommend this Nero utility for backin up to CD. Now I really don't know what the actual format is or what encoder Nero uses to perform the rip to so called Nero digital. I was able to play it in Media Player as well as Nero's player. I assume it using the Coded from Nero in either app. Anyway. It seems to really work well.
