  1. Winxp, using tmpgenc

I am trying to convert a mpg to vcd compliant mpg
adding filter since the original capture from tv is too light
    increasing audio volumn

original has the following spec from avicodec
    File : 246 MB (243 MB), duration: 0:15:19, type: MPG, 1 audio stream(s), quality: 78 %
    Video : 219 MB, 2000 Kbps, 23.976 fps, 320*240 (4:3), MPG1 = MPEG 1 (VCD), Supported
    Audio : 24 MB, 144 Kbps, 16000 Hz, 2 channels, 0x51 = Mpeg-1 audio Layer 2 [0xc0], Supported

After conversion the audio / video become out of sync somewhere around the middle.

    Have tried the following

demux the original, encode the video seperately, encode the audio seperately, mux them together

any other advice how to approach this?

    thanks

Did you check your source clip for bad frames?

What program do you suggest to check mpg bad frames accurately?
