  1. If I want to have an "Insert CD 2" screen at the end of my VCD, would I just create a 352x240pixels bmp picture, and then encode to mpg with tmpg using a silent wav? I've never thought about putting one of these screens at the end of the first cd, but I'm thinking it sounds like a good idea.

Anyway, is the way I described above the best way to do this, or is there a better way?

    Thanks so much...

  2. No need to add a "silent.wav". Just encode it with no audio, appended to the end of the first CD. Encode another for the end of the movie.

Thanks for the reply! I have just one question....(I'm sorry if this is a dumb question), but why would I need to encode another screen for the end of the movie? If it is the end of the movie, what would the screen at the end need to say?

    I appreciate it!

  4. I would use Ulead VideoStudio,Pinnacle Studio,Windows Movie Maker, etc to make a 10 sec. VCD movie,TMPGenc doesn't allow you to set length for stills. Here are some premade stills:

  5. Some people like to have all sorts of screens, start, next CD, end, whatever. It was just a suggestion.
VCDEasy makes it (as it's name suggests) easy to add chapters, menu's, and even a "Next CD Please" screen.
Search the guides for "VCDEasy", by "Sefy". There's a beginners, as well as more advanced tutorials for how to do it.
For myself, I don't care if I see fancy screens, but when authoring (S)VCD's for others, I always fancy them up with menus and such.
