  1. I'm trying to turn my home movies on VHS tapes into DVDs and bought a Govideo burner that hooks up to your tv set. It only burns +R/+RW disks but the DVD player I normally use only plays-R/-RW disks. Therfore, I "thought" I could burn a +RW disk, then copy it to a -R disk but I'm not having any luck. I first tried using Nero but got an error saying my source and destination drives were on the same IDE bus which could cause a Buffer underrun. I tried burning the disk any way, but it didn't work.

I then downloaded DVD Decrypter and tried the DVD 5 method but got an I/O error. I made a screen shot of the error so I'll try and insert it in this thread.
Perhaps I'm going about this all the wrong way. Is it possible to copy a +RW to a -R DVD disk?
The burner I'm using on my computer is Plextor 708A.
