Hello,
I used TMPGenc to convert .avi to DVD format. After TMPGenc finished encodind it has created a .M2V extention file. Question is how do make a DVD-Video (to burn as DVD-R) from .M2V file. I tried using Nero but it did not like the file extentions.
Thanks in advances.

Author it together with audio (of some kind - LPCM WAV, AC3, MP2) (as m2v is mpeg 2 video) using an authoring application as IfoEdit, TMPGEnc DVD Author, DVD-Lab...

My reply is still valid - Take your m2v and your audio file and author.

I must say that applications that just look at the extension to determine their type is sloppy programmed. The least you could ask for is for the app to at least try to open it to take a peek at what it really is. (freeware excused...)

I had a similar problem with TMPGEnc plus when I was first learning to use it. In TMPGEnc plus you select the output file type on the main screen where you choose if you want video and audio in the same file. The plus software will create a .mpg file when you include boath audio and video or seperate files like .m2v and .wav. I think that standard TMPBEnc is the same in this reguard.
NOTE: The selections allowed are based on what you have requested in other parts of the program. If I select PCM (.wav) audio output, it will not let me select a single .mpg file. (The request would not make sense).
