    Hi all!

I'm trying to convert some of my VCD's to DVD-R format using Ulead DVD Moviefactory. I've extracted the .dat files to .mpg using Isobuster or VCDGear. The audio is PERFECT in ALL my .mpg files on the computer and when played on the DVD player as VCD's. But when I encode in Ulead DVD Moviefactory, two of the mpg files go out of sync. I just don't understand why this is happening. I've even tried re-encoding them to .mpg2 with TMPGenc and the audio is PERFECT on the computer, but again when I put them in Ulead DVD Moviefactory, and burn them to DVD-R, those two files are out of sync again.

The reason I'm using Ulead is because I like the ease it provides with making Menu's, etc..

I sure hope someone is able to help me! Any tips or suggestions.. even other software to use. I have Nero Version 6, and I've even tried to use that, but don't think it has a DVD creation feature.

Thanks for your help in Advance

  2. Which version of MF? Older versions (1.0 -1.2) have a patch available on Ulead's website to address this issue.

    Repo Man,

    I have version 2.10.215.1160 SE
I'll check on the MoveiFactory website anyway, hopefully that patch will fix my problem.

Thanks so much for your reply.

I downloaded the patch from the MovieFactory site, and encoded the mpg's again. The same problem occurs - The audio goes out of sync. This is crazy!

    Any other suggestions folks?

I use MF2 also....but only to edit +RW discs. Could it be a PAL/NTSC issue?
