  1. anyone know how? i hate sites that force me to watch their video inside a small window on the website instead of in win media. usually this isn't a problem if the site is all html because i can go through it and find the link, but when it's inside flash i can't do anything.

    thanks,
    mike

  2. hmm.. tough one.. You can try emptying your internet temp directory before you go to the site. Then go to the site, wait for the video to play, then open the directory to see if the video file is there.

But since it's in flash I think the video may be embedded as well.. (I don't know flash, so that is just a guess, probably wrong, now that I think about it most likely wrong.)

When the video is in flash its an animated gif that will be labeled something.swf,to get the gif you can get the swf from your temp files and decompile it with a flash program such as glanda.

  4. use a packet sniffer such as "project url snooper". start that, and then once the flash loads up, you can check the true addy of where it came from

    OR

use one of those "download website" programs (such as webzip). and have it dl like the first page or os of the site, where the flash is. It should then dl the actual flash file for you
