After lots of testing I've solved my freezing problem.
I've tried various tests on verbatim dvd-r (From India, Sinapore and China) - about 50% of them start freezing toward the end of the movie.
I got a bunch of Riteks G04 on the weekend - so far after 10 burns no errors!
I don't advise anyone to use Verbatims -r's
Just my 2c worth.
Cheers

I only use Verbatims Data Life Plus DVD-Rs 4x (made in Singapore)been using for approx 6mths and havent had a coaster yet and my friends have as well.
Ive backed up quite a lot and watched them, no errors, no freezing, maybe its something to do with being Down Under lol. -
Yeah Verbatim and Memorex are on my "never buy" list. The Verbatim's I bought also fell apart near the end so what I did was simply use them only for burns less than 4GB.
