  1. Yesterday I decided to do a little testing to see the differences in VCD/SVCD/SeVCD and SxVCD. Problem is I cannot get the SxVCD to play after the conversion. All 4 files done exactly the same way. Using Sefy's SxVCD template, all I get is a black screen and stuttering sound. Can't figure out why it does that.

Also, is it normal for the converted file sixe to be soo much larger than the avi? A 1MB avi file converted to approx. 1.6MB on all 4 files. Doesn't sound right to me, but hell, I don't know jack yet.

So if anyone could straighten me out, I'd appreciate it

  2. If your AVI file was a DivX encoded file, it is very likely that the MPG version of it would be much bigger, considering a 1min standard VCD would take 10mb, and the SeVCD and SxVCD would give you slightly smaller file sizes, but still larger then AVI encoded with DivX.

As for SxVCD, since it uses MPEG2 and it's non-standard, it is not very playable on Media Player, you are better off using PowerDVD or WinDVD, or any other DVD Playing software.
