  1. I've done some rippz of dvd'z that have been well protected by trying smartripper, if dat didnt work, i'd try dod'z speedripper, and sometimes they come out with different angles ripped, diff audio trackz, directors commentaries, etc. If the ripping to the hard drive and then the conversion to dvd2avi or frameserving didnt work id'd just convert to divx n to vcd or svcd or sevcd or
    sxvcd.
Anyway, with this latest dvd (EncinoMan, wit da wease..)
i cant even ripp it successfully. I get weird green blocks, scenes repeated, half frames, off synch audio n vid.
Tried smartripper latest two versionz, speedripper.

What could i try to ripp this heavely protected dvd, if anything...?

Did you try to decode by all ways it lets you? That is, first try to decode only once (using the first key that comes up). If that doesn't work, try "by .vob file", then "by chapter" and so on?...

I have come across some DVD's that are in fact encrypted by every CHAPTER file, in which case you could be in the middle of decoding a VOB file and suddenly it's encrypted again...

Usually doing it only once, or by vob, will work, but there are these rare ones...

  3. i did by the first key, n think told da app to search more than one (or somepin like dat). Did try by vob.Didnt try by chapter though and see if dat does it.
I remember somewhere in da black hole of postz in dis forum, sefy mentioning an app to try when all else fails, but couldnt locate dat post by searchin'
i guess worse come to worse, ill have to capp it thru s-video. Is s-video analog or pseudo-digital? hmm....
    thanx homey..

Another one to try is DVD decrypter. I haven't tried it, some people say its even better than Smartripper.

But I think Smartripper has more options to do custom stuff, so try that first...

  6. i think i gott it to read Encino'z vob'z, finally with the new version of cladDVD. Although, two of the four vob'z did not match the vob file size (reading from da dvd disc), upon playback , or rather preview F5, with dvd2avi, it showed incomplete (vob, 936mb of 1,048g) vob or scenes.
When cued up with flask it showed complete scenes or transitions. I left it encoding so i wont know if its complete till its done.

    Thanx all for you inputz.

  7. Have you ever tried Sector Extractor 1.2 ? from my experience, if all else fails, THIS will rip it!
it's a bit more manual as you need to select each VOB, but it WILL rip it one by one and 100% working VOB's!
