I've got a problem with burning VIDEO_TS folders and playing them in my standalone Denon DVD-700 player.
I've followed the guides telling me howto burn VIDEO_TS folders and i'm sure i've done it right. The play fine in my xbox (regionfree) and computer (which is locked to region2).

When i burn DVD-images (movies) .ISO, .GI etc. they work just fine in my Denon.

I'm using Nero 6.3.0.0, i've also tried Recordnow MAX and CopyToDVD with no result.

    My DVDburner is a DVDRW6002 (+R,+RW), think it's Philips
I've been using the same media all the time.

You need to provide more details on yr authoring-burning method!
Did ya remember to use all caps on yr VIDEO_TS folder?
Did ya include an empty AUDIO_TS folder??
Also, when burning did ya select UDF 1.02 physical partition??
What did ya use for ripping/transcoding??

    I would reccommend using DVDShrink!

    Good luck!

  4. I have been leaning torwards making all of my DVD's from images. I don't know why this would make a difference but it does appear to.
Especially if your using Nero for DVD. Nero is a fine tool for all other types of burning but not DVD's. That's just my opinion.

    Make image with ImgTools Classic
    Burn with DVDDecrypter

No hazzle. No 50 MB + applications. Just good, lean, mean freeware.

    Thanks Mats, it works now.
But it's strange, i did create a AUDIO_TS folders and i did use all caps.
Have been browsing the forum quite a lot and it seems many people have been having problems playing their nero-burnt dvd's in their players. I tried burning it according to UDF1.02 specs, didn't help. Tried the UDF/ISO method also, not working.
DVDDectrytor seems to be the way to go
Also tried Imgtoolburn which worked. (It uses the nero API)
    Well, thanks for the help

  9. glad it worked for you.. just another example of how nero sucks for dvd burning.

you might want to give recordnow max a shot for burning.. its always worked for me, always..

No, the thing is how the image is created. What you use to burn the image doesn't matter i n the least, as long as it can write to a DVD+/-R at all.
