  1. I just bought 4 spindles of Imation 4x DVD+R's I opened one of them and so far I am 3 for 3 on creating coasters, I've used 2 different DVD Drives, Tried Nero 6 for 2 of them, 1 at 4x, 1 at 2.4x, CopyToDVD on 1 of them at 2.4x. All of them seem to crap out right after writing the lead-in. I can't even get a media code out of them because they fail too soon, and the drive no longer even recognizes it as a DVD.

Do you think office max will take them all back? If not, what the hell do I do with 100 unusable DVD+R's??? Ebay them?

  2. Hell yes, they'll take them back. You also suck for trying to pawn these known pieces of crap on some poor unsuspecting soul.

  3. i wouldn't really ebay them.. it was sort of a joke about the utter crap that people advertise on there and the morons who will pay for it.

I actually just got 1 to burn through fine with no problem, albeit at 2.4x, I guess since they are free after rebates I might as well keep them and just burn slow.. big surprise as they are ricoh's..

Consider this topic closed, cause I'm just going to keep them.

Hey, dont give up. Try this way.
I bought 4 of 25 Imation and all of them were Ricih from Japan>
    Region information N/A not a DVD-VIDEO
    Media code/Manufacturer ID RICOHJPNR01
    Format Capacity Not Formatted
    Free Blocks 405405696
    Free Capacity 4.38GB(4.70GB)
    Book Type DVD+R
    Media Type DVD+R
Media Id Code Speed 4.0x 5540KBps
Available Write Descriptor CLV 4.0x 5540KBps
Available Write Descriptor CLV 2.4x 3324KBps
    Data area starting sector 30000h
    Linear Density 0.267um/bit
    Track Density 0.74um/track
    Number of Layers 1

Now if you have 4 of 50, if they are not Ricoh then go to them and exchange for 8 of 25. YOu lose nothing but you may gain something.

Just give a try, you only loose an hour but you may get something
    Cheers,
