I have a DVD that it's main movie VOB files are Title set 12 (VTS_12_1.VOB). When I ripped the DVD this is where they were. But when I play the DVD in WinDVD, PowerDVD or my stand alones...as the movie is playing it says it is playing Title 1.

Also in IC7, Title set 12 is the main movie files.

I don't really have a question about this, but I thought it was strange that it is actually playing Title set 12 but showing Title Set 1 as the title it is playing.

Not that is was a big issue, it still backed up just like any other DVD with no problem....just thought it was strange. Usually the main movie is in Title Set 1-3 but it will display the correct title set when playing.

Are you new to DVDR backups? Because if you aren't, you are in big trouble! You should know by now on the differences of a "Titleset" and a "Title". Anyways, open up your VIDEO_TS.IFO with IfoEdit. The Titles being displayed on your standalone/software players display the Titles pertaining to your VIDEO_TS.IFO...VMG Overview...Number of Title Play Maps. Just look at your Title 1 and you should be seeing something similar to this below.
    • VMG Overview:

Number of Title Play Maps: 14 (VMG_PTT_SRPT)

      Title 1: VTS_12_*, TTN_1 (Angles: 1) (Chapters: 36) (Start Sector 184839)

There are VMG (Video Manager) Titles and there are VTS (Video TitleSet) Titles. To avoid confusion of the many VTS Title 1s on your MultiVTS DVD, the titles in your VMG will sort them all as unique Titles.

You'll have to excuse me...I don't know what the hell I was talking about...I was quite a few beers in on the evening.

I'm not new to backups, far from and expert but I do know the difference between a Title and Titleset.

Was a long day...started the "refreshment" drive at 9:00 am.... (don't judge...it was 5:00 pm somewhere).

Sorry about the post...I should know better than to drink and surf. So please disregard...I'm retarded.
