  1. i had never had a problem extracting an avi audio using virtualdub before. Today I tried to extract the audio off this avi but VDub wouldn't let me do it and pop up an error message.

  4. Go to http://agrgic.tripod.com/avi2wav/ ang get the freeware avi2wav extractor , this will do it for you as i too had to extract the audio for encoding but was having difficulty in doing this too and found this works a treat.

    Then being ac3 i assume you want to convert this to 2 channel audio , rename .wav file to .ac3 then decompress with your fave decompressor mine being ac3 decoder available from http://www.mediatwins.com/products/ac3_decoder.htm. This i found to be the easiest with no probs whatsoever ( ever tried to figure BeSweet ? )
