Version 2.5 update for DVDComplete is impossible to find!

I have DVDComplete 2.03 Standard which came with my firewire card. I need the feature the 2.5 version has - namely, the ability to actually *move* chapter thumbnails in the menu - but I can't find the patch anywhere!

I checked Pinnacle's website and they were no help. The only patch I can find is for the BestBuy edition, or for the PAL edition. If I try to run the BB one, I get an error message telling me something can't be found.

So, has the update just vanished from the freaking face of the Earth, or what? Like that little 10MB update was just killing Dazzle's server space so much that they couldn't leave it up.

Trying to run the BB patch (the only NTSC one they offer), I get the following:

"The upgrade patch cannot be installed by the Windows Installer service because the program to be upgraded may be missing, or the upgrade patch may update a different version of the program. Verify that the program to be upgraded exists on your computer and that you have the correct upgrade patch."

I don't have the BestBuy edition, I have the Standard Edition. For which there was once a patch, and now there isn't.

From what I understand, this will get you a version equal to the 2.5 upgrade you are looking for.

Pinnacle didn't pick up DVDC when dazzle sold out.. and dazzle was only a marketing outlet for DVDC... DVDCre8 actually develped and supported
the app.

Upshot for all viewing this thread is to get and archive any current upgrades for ALL your apps. This process of companies merging/disappearing with users left in the lurch ain't gonna stop anytime soon. Most of you have burners.. use them to get that stuff capped and stored away. Will also be a godsend when yer OS dies or yer HDD craps.
