  1. Hi,
I am trying to burn a VCD with a menu using Nero 5.5.

When I add the menu, the menu resolution reports 720x576, surely this is not VCD compliant ? Anyway my Sony DVP-NS400 throws up a dirty disc error ?

If I burn the VCD with no menu it works 100%, is there any way to force the menu resolution to 352x288.

    Thanks.

  2. High resolution stills in VCDs are 704x576 for PAL or 704x480 for NTSC.

I'm unsure of the cause of your problem with Nero, but be aware that Nero doesn't actually author still menus correctly...

    Regards.

  3. Can anyone suggest something other than Nero then. I am trying to get a large amount of MPEG1 layer 2 audio onto a CD with a Menu.

If I load the encoded files into Easy CD5 it throws them out, I guess because of the CQ_VBR coding on the video to keep the files small.

    Thanks.

  4. I'd go take a look at TSCV. It supports still and moving menus. Go to <www.ttool.org> It's a little cryptic but it works pretty well.
