  1. Hello,

I have asked this question earlier today on the audio forum and the newbie but sofar I didn't get the answer that will do the trick. So therefore I try here once more. Who can help me out?

I have an avi movie wich causes me a lot of trouble when I put it in the TMPGenc to make two streams to use in the IfoEdit. This trouble is: that TMPGenc import the video file but doesn't import the audio file.

I have had a same problem earlier wich I solved using VirtualDub. When I put that file in I got a message about VBR sound and that the program would fix that. But in this case VirtualDub doesn't react and normally import the file.

I have tried an other option to get a wav file from the movie (using avi to wav) and put this in TEMPGenc but this didn't work too. Also a single generated mpg2 file and (this) wav file together in the Ifoedit gave me after burning a movie without sound.

Who can help me out solving this matter? It seems to me that with all the newer videocompressors like Xvid this problem increases.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Check your avi with Gspot. AC3 audio? Use Goldwave to convert to wav, load the avi and save.

  3. Hello ZippyP (and all others!),

It looks like this solution is working. At least I see a reaction at the source area in TEMPGenc and is very positive.

ZippyP, I know a lot of people deal with this problem when I looked over several sites according to this problem. It looks like you found a very nice solution. Thanks!

  4. I have similar problems, fortunatelly I am able to have mpeg file with sound.
But, sound is out of sync.
Avi file is OK, but when I use Tempg I am not getting good results, even though I am adding wav file (avi2wav).
I beleive this could be only a setup, but I am newbee

  6. I am having the same problem with an AVI, I have not used G-spot before but downloaded it and looked at the file. G-spot says I have all the right codecs installed, but I still can't get the audio off this .avi and when I try to render it with G-spot I get a partial failure message stating some of the streams in this movie are in an unsupported format.

  7. put the complete avi in goldwave and save it as wav.

put the avi in tepmgenc to create only a m2v file. Put then created wav and m2v file in the ifo to create the dvd files. Burn the whole thing with tempgenc dvd author.

    succes!
