    What is the best software for converting my avi files to DVD so that I can burn them and play them on my PS2 and in car DVD player. Also being able to convert other file types to DVD format is a big plus

    i left CCE off the list because you are looking for multiple source type conversion (prob. with resizing and such) ..

    then for authoring

    dvdlab
    tmpgenc dvd author


    or all in one solutions like from tmpgenc or sony vegas+dvda or a ulead product
