Nero 5.5 not detecting my LiteOn burner.

I bought a Liteon LDW-451S DVD-RW drive from newegg and installed it.I've been useing Nero 5.5 ver 5.5.10.7 for a while and it worked great with my last burner.But Nero sees my LiteOn as a CD-Rom and not a CDR/DVD-RW drive.

I think perhaps its because the older version of nero is not compatable with the newer drive,but i'd rather not update to Nero 6 as i've heard others having problems.That and i'm trying to download Nero 6 right now and the thing is 22MBs which will take forever on my 24K dial-up

Is there a way to fix this issue without getting Nero 6?

Nero says its OEM.

Hmmm don't know why it says OEM.The Nero i have is from an older 5.5 retail version i have on CD,that i later updated to ver 5.5.10.7.

Anyway thanks for the link.I was able to download and update to version 5.5.10.54 and now Nero recognizes my liteOn drive

Nero 5.5 didn't recognize mt Sony DRU-510A either.
