    I can see why... Huh??

I'm new with a fresh 106D, and I'm encountering a recurrent problem when burning to CD-Rs. At the start of a burn, the drive spins really fast, then really slow, then fast, then slow, etc. until I turn it off. I'm generating a lot of coasters like this. It only happens with CDs, it makes DVDs just fine. Is this a known problem with the 106s? Or do I have a lemon?

  4. Hello,
My new Pioneer A06 is doing well as far as DVD bruning concerned.
BUT! I'm not able to write CD's.
I'm using Nero 6 (under W2K) and did all the things you do when you have a troubling piece of software. I updated, made clean install, removed other burning software, cleaned the register, and controlled my ASPI.
Still no luck! Nero is doing well until the burning process begins. Sometimes it crashes with a logfile in DrWatson, sometimes Nero just disappears without any mention of an error.
The writer is at secondary master and I did not mess up with the master/slave jumper.
    Please help me!
    TIA
