Dvd burning speed

Hi,

I wanna ask the question about whether all you guys use the highest speed during the burning process or do you just use 2x?? I always used 2x even when i have the 4x Dvd-R... Does it really matter?

I write at 12x write speed...what r you talking about?

I always write at 4x speed,pyrate83,read the topic.Only matters if you are using cheap media.

depends on the media.
if you're using good, reliable media, you should burn at 4x.

Ok, ok, in that case I use good 4x media but had to get firmware for my drive to support that media. It still burns at 2x but I can use either media now.

I use the Ritek G04 Dvd-R media, so do you guys recommend me using 2x for it or 4x??
