    I am attempting to use an external Toshiba 5112 mounted in an USB
    2.0 chassis on a MAC G4 running OS X (10.2.8).

    I am using Toast version 6.

    Has anyone had success with this configuration?

    What brand and model is the enclosure? Do you need to install drivers or download drivers from their website?
