  1. My partner needs a laptop and is going to view one tomorrow.
It is a Compaq Evo N160C
    512 ddr
    1.8 ghz
    dvd/cdrw combo
    Tv out
    2 x usb 1.1
    14' screen
    Modem

I have tried to search on the net for more information on this machine, but not having much luck,it seems the sights i do find are in a foreign language.
If anybody can help or give a rough price i should be paying this would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

dont know anything about the compaq evo's. i have a presario. sounds like its a little older computer. 1.8 ghz seems like its a little older, and the 2 1.1 usb ports are old as well. mine has a 2.4 ghz pentium 4 and 3-usb 2.0 ports.

I did a quick Google search, could find little about this machine. As sitlet said, seems like an older laptop. Spend more time looking for a good laptop. Laptops in general are difficult to upgrade. Your money is better spent with a newer machine.

I agree with red.....based on those specs sounds like an outdated machine by today's standards. Try to find something more updated and something that will last awhile, as laptops, unless you have the expertise are extremely difficult to upgrade yourself. Thats why they cost so much more than the desktops do. And when you do Goggle searches and find little on a particular model laptop, that should tell you right there that either they are no longer made and will be tough to obtain service for should something go wrong.
