placed on 1 DVD+R.
I used DVDShrink to rip two 90 minute movies and placed them on a single DVD+R. They were compressed down to around 70 for each movie. They both look surprisingly good. But what I don't like about it is that I have no menu for the DVD. I'd like to have a simple box pop up upon playing the DVD that asks me which movie I'd like to watch. It doesn't need to be fancy, in fact text would be fine with me.
I'm not sure how to accomplish this. Anyone give me some info?

you would have to reauthor using something like TMPGEnc DVD Author.
If in doubt, Google it. -
Have a look in the guides section, you will find a quickie guide I did to show you how to fit 2 movies onto a DVD using DVD2One
I know you used DVDShrink, but the last part of the guide explains how to create a simple menu to get access to your movies using TMPGenc DVD Author
Also, try looking in the guides section on how to author using TMPGenc DVD Author. Its a very simple program to use, even without reading any instruction, it shouldn't take you more than 30 minutes to knock something up from never touching the program before
For more advanced authoring at an affordable price, also have a look at DVD-Lab -
THanks for the info, but the only Guide I could find in your name is one called "How To Use DVD Patcher to Create Mixed DVD’s". As far as I can tell that didn't help me out much
I played around with TMPEGinc Auther a bit, but couldn't figure out how to get a menu working right. For some reason I could only get it to either show track number 1 only, or show every chapter from both tracks. I'll need to play around with it more. -

OK. I did figure out a few things in TMPGenc Author that has helped me out. Here is what I've done so far.
I've ripped the movie track from each of the movies using DVDShrink (I guess I could've used DVD Decypter also). From there I used TMPGEnc to add the tracks to a compilation. I added each movie to it's own track (this is where I was going wrong before). I created a basic menu that just displayed a main menu and I set it up to display the menu upon inputting the disk. I authored to a fold on my hard disk and then ran through DVD shrink again in order to compress down to the neccessary size.
The final result wroked well. The only drawback was that it was a fairly long process. I'm not sure if there is a shorter way to do things or not. Once again I'm open to suggestions and I will continue to play.
