Hello,
I want to know if it is possible to capture DV-AVI (from camera) thru Firewire on an VIA EPIA M10000 motherboard (VIA C3 1GHz processor) in realtime without losing frames?!?
I'm asking this, 'cos I can't find any decent answer to this question...
The most asked question about this motherboard is if it is capable enough in playing DVD and DivX...
I know that this motherboard is rather slow in comparison with 1GHz Intel or AMD processors, but I only want to capture... nothing more... no editing, etc. (will be done on other PC).
Any ideas?!?

Your not really capturing video, your copying video data from your camera to your hard drive.
Are you able to copy files from one part of your hard drive to another?
If your hard drive can keep up there should be no problem.
