  1. Hello,

I am having lots of difficulty aligning the meritline glossy dvd case inserts and want to know if anyone has made a template or recommend a program or something to get it aligned correctly. I have tried nero cover designer and the alignment is still not good. I would like a program that will automatically size the image to fit the case space automatically and does not require the user to resize it manually.

  4. Those are the same ones I have, except mine are plain, not glossy. Did the templates on Meritline's page not work?: Meritline Glossy DVD Case Inserts (Professional Photographic DVD Case Insert) 50 Sheets

  5. I just downloaded the photoshop template of meritline's website and already have a question. There is transparent rectangular space above the arrows and was wondering if that should be cut out. IT has nothing but mabey it needs it to print correctly? Also, when I try to print it there is a mesage box that says that clipping will occur. SHould I just ignore this.

Also, should i use borderless printing when printing from photoshop?

    Thanks

Use the "NEATO DVD Case Insert (A4)". That's what I use, and it works perfectly. Make sure you're using version 4 of SureThing CD/DVD Labeler, though; I don't think version 3 had this template.

I use the matte inserts from Meritline....

I have found that if you use the built in Windows XP image printing wizard it does a suprisingly good job. Just tell it you have A4 sized paper and you want it to do a full page centered print. Feed the paper into the printer with the smallest perf going in first and it will print almost perfectly over the perforated area on the insert. It does overlap a bit and if your image has text near the edges you will most likely lose some of the text but that hasn't bothered me yet. most of the time it's just stuff like the Widescreen banner across the top of the print or something......

For those that don't know, to use the built in Windows XP print utility simply open a folder containing images and select the images you want to print. Then on the left hand side of the window near the top there is a link that says "Print these images" or something similar.

Extremely easy for doing batch prints of images on your pc. I use it for printing my digital camera images too.....
    Ummm.. Yeah, what he said...

If u are printing covers for the standard DVD cases try UndercoverXP (do google search)...freeware and it does DVD covers (best with scanned covers) on normal printers (8.5x14 paper ur preference). No expensive cover material cost. But u'll have to do some cutting. It even print cut guide lines

You also need to make sure your advance printer settings are set correctly in your printer software. This varies by make and model of printer, as a rule of thumb I use A4 with extended margin and largest possible coverage settings.

I also use Nero cover design with the becker template and supercases. I just buy glossy photo paper @ Costco for 120 pieces for 20.00 bucks. I use printable media on a Epson 900 and you can not tell the copy from the original. Whole cover and disc print is about 35 cents each when you buy in bulk like I do.

  11. MediaFace 4.01 is what I use. I've printed 'bout a hundred perfectly aligned Meritline Glossy DVD Covers so far using this program.
