  1. Hi all,
Been using TMPEnc for ages converting DivX Avi files onto MPEG to burn as VCD and never had any problem except for the odd time when I had t split the Audi becuase of the compression thing.
Anyway, I have a coupld of AVIs that I want to convert and nothing doing it just does not want to work!
I use Win 2000 and latest TMPEnc version 2 and I whenever I select an AVI file I get the error message: File: whatever.av cannot open, or unsupported.

I tried opening an AVI which I know I converted a few weeks ago no worries and this time I get the error message. I upgraded to Version 2 recently.. Is that buggy?
    Any heeelp pleeeeease

Copy TMPGEnc.VFP and TMPGEncVFP_Install.bat into the directory you have version 2 in and click the install.bat. I think for each version you install you have to do this each time.
If it's not this sorry I don't know

  3. Thanks for this mate but I do not think this is it. Actually I fixed it yesterday: the problem was the DivX Codec I had. I dowloaded the latest , version 4, and since then nothig worked. I went back to the old version 3.11 (Kristal Studio Pack on VCDHELP tools) and all is back to normal and working like a dream!!

Keep this in mind if you have or plan to get the latest Codec....forget it!!
