  1. Hi !

I'm curious to know which is the best way to extract AC3 Audio from AVI files??? I know that VirtualDub is an option but I have heard it doesn't extract the AC3 well beacause it leaves wav headers in it? so my question is how can i extract the audio without damaging it at any form?? i'm asking this question beacause I'm planing to make a SVCD with AC3 surround.

  2. Nothing wrong with using vdub for this, just use ac3fix.exe on the file afterwards.

BTW, to be pedantic, you can't make an SVCD with AC3, it would be non-standard. So it would be an XSVCD.

You can also use virtualdubmod and you don't have to fix the ac3.
