  1. Hi,

I have a Pioneer DVR-5100H-S but my question is not limited to this DVD Recorder:

Does anyone know how to create a smooth transition between two combined chapters on a DVD Recorder?

I know that this is probably an impossible task using the DVD Recorder alone. So, what is the best way to achieve smooth transitions using a PC and withou loosing too much of the final quality on the recorded DVD or DVD Recorder's hard disk?

Application: Recording video clips captured from a DV camcoder, on DVD.

[Note: I find it silly to combine chapters if the resulted video is jumping on each joining point!]

  2. you could try using womble mpeg2 video editor to join all the files in to 1 long mpg and set chapter points.

  3. Thank you, I can use any program to join the clips into a single movie. This not the point. The question is what is the best way to transfer the movie from the recorder to the PC, edit it there, and then transfer it back to the recorder, by losing quality as less as possible ...
