  1. I'm using ulead mediastudio 7, and I added music which is align perfectly with the video, but when I render the project the video lacks behind the audio.

These are the specs of the outputed video:

    Frame rate: 30 (I'v also tried 29.97 and 24)
    Frame type: Frame-Based
    Frame size: 640x480

    Compresion

Mpeg2 (I also tried mpeg1 but it squashes the video)
Video data rate: constant 14000 kbs

    I frames checked

    Audio settings

    audio type stereo

    audio frequency: 44100
    audio bit rate: 128 kbps

    My computer stats

    amd 1ghz athlon
    512 ram
    geforce3
    30 gb HD
    40 gb HD
    Soudblaester live value.

Please help me if you can, or tell where can I find info on this.

    Thank you.

Use a program that "loops" the audio/music to the video. Videowave comes to mind. I use it religously. This works well with video that does not have to synchronize to specific dialogue.

  3. The sound has to be exactly in sync with the video.

Use a sound editor program such as goldwave to shrink or stretch the timeline of the audio to match the video, use this method if the audio gradually goes out of sync.Otherwise you can set the delay of the audio.

  5. Even if I save the video appart from the audio, they are the same length but are out of sync. So I don't know how much do I have to shrink the audio. Is there a way to see the amount that I have to shirnk the audio?

    Thanks again

Best way i find is go to somewhere near the end of the clip and see how much difference there is between the sound and lips and use the delay as an estimate so if you see the voice is 2 seconds too fast then stretch the audio 2 seconds.Vice versa if the sound is late.

  7. Thanks that worked great!

The video skips a lot, what can I do to avoid that?

Does the video skip after you burn it and watch on your dvd player or skips before you author or after you author?

mpeg2 is the best file type if your resolution is 352x480 and higher.

  11. Yeah, I tried avi and mov, but they take to long and don't look that good.

The captured video that I have does not skip frames, only when I save the edited movie file I get tons of skiped frames.

    It really looks bad

You can alway edit the clip in vitualdub and then frameserve it with out doing any actual cutting which will save you on the skipping effects.

  13. Is there a way to export my project to virtualdub? I spent days cutting, adding audio, transition effects and adding animated text.
