Dvds freezing

Hi
Ive been having trouble with playback on dvds recently on my toshiba Dvd player on few films it will pause the films on itself Would using a Dvd cleaner help my player ? as the dvds are clean ....

No, using the DVD cleaner does'nt have much of an effect. I have the same problem and when i used the DVD cleaner it had absoulutely no effect.
But you can try slow speed burning, it might help.

The best bet here is the media you are using ........

If this has always happened, then its the media, if its just started what have you changed (media, burn speed, etc, etc)



I had this problem when burning 2 movies per DVD, or when teh movie was at the evry end. It would start stuttering, pausing or sometimes just freeze

I finally managed to get some Princo G04's from my local independant computer supplier and all problems disappeared. I've burnt DVD's so close to the edge you can barely see it ... Still no problems


Try changing your media, if you can get them pay extra for Princo G04's Purple Dye. Fantastic, no problems, very compatable and will easily burn at x4. Worth the expense

Also, these are supposed to be very compatable especially with X-Box and PS2 backups, but I can't test that yet
