Ok so I just backed up one of my dvd movies to dvdr.. (finally got it working after making 3 coasters.. once I shut down some system tray stuff it worked fine).. well now that the dvd is made.. the dvd burner I have and also the dvd-rom I have won't even read it.. when I go into explorer it just shows that nothing is there..
but the funny thing is.. I can play it fine on my playstation 2 and dvd player for my tv.. any suggestions?
I have the Sony DRU-530A 8x/4x/4x/2x +/- R/RW drive.. I burned the movie with the Nero using the DVD-video choice..
so basically I just want to know if anyone has had this problem or knows how to fix it.. thanks in advance![]()

I would try checking your aspi drivers.
Make sure they are installed correctly. There should be an *.exe in your system32 folder that is called chkaspi.exe or checkaspi.exe or something like that. If it is not there, do a google search and download the newest aspi drivers made by adaptec i think. When you download them, there is a readme file... you need to read it, it tells you how to use the command prompt to force the instalation of the aspi drivers.
My guess is that it works on your dvd player and you ps2 because they dont use aspi, and the reason Nero burned it fine is because Nero has its own aspi drivers and doesnt use the ones your system does. However the dvd-rom drives on your computer use the system aspi drivers to read a dvd. Hope that makes sense.
Hope this helps,
