IFOEDIT can create ifo files from vob files. However simply remaneing mpg to vob will not work. IFOEDIT will make ifo files from renamed files but they will not play. A better way would be to demux the mpg into it's elementary video/audio streams then use IFOEDIT's DVD author function to create all the required files, ifo and vob, these will play.

  3. OK, I am getting there. I have VTS_01_x.VOB and VTS_02_x.VOB, I used ifoedit to create ifo's for the first set of vob's. How do I create an ifo for the second set of vob's? ifoedit wants to keep using VTS_01

You have to name your VOB files for the first set as:

    VTS_01_1.VOB
    VTS_01_2.VOB
    VTS_01_3.VOB
    VTS_01_4.VOB

    and so on

Your second title set needs to be named

    VTS_02_1.VOB
    VTS_02_2.VOB
    VTS_02_3.VOB
    VTS_02_4.VOB

    and so on

  5. That is how my naming sequence is. But when I pick VTS_02_1.VOB as the first vob in the set, it still writes out a ifo for VTS_01, overwriting the ifo it already made for vob set VTS_01_1.VOB
