    Both the Herrie site and NEC's site list the latest version as 1.0A. Does this replace 1.09? Why a lower number if it's the latest firmware?

    "NEC and TDK have just released a new firmware 1.09 for the NEC 1300A and 1.0A for the TDK 0404N. Both have identical media support!" - from www.herrie.org

    It looks like 1.0A is for the TDK burner.

    Actually, 0A is ten in hex so is in fact higher than 09

    1.0a is for nec as well.
