  1. I am trying to copy an already burned DVD-R onto another DVD-R.

Some of my DVDs copy fine, with no errors. While others get to a certain point in the disk (sometimes in the middle, other times at the very END of the disc) and Nero comes back and says "error reading disc" and the burn ends.

The DVDs with errors play fine all the way through on my DVD player. Maybe a hiccup on that spot, but that's the extent of the error.

How do I go about saying "ignore errors" or what have you on my DVDs so they can copy onto another disc? Different copying program besides Nero?

These errored DVDs have been converted on DVDShrink and burned onto either Memorex or Ritek -R media (both types have had read errors). I then go to copy the DVD in Nero, or DVDShrink and both come back with errors in the same place on the disc, but plays fine.

How do I get around these errors on the DVDs?

Well, you start by using a better quality disc to record on in the first place.

Do a search for "MEDIA FADEING AFTER 6 MONTHS" and you will probably panic.

  3. These discs were just written no more than 2 weeks ago.

I have read through many forums and most agree that Riteks were the media of choice.

So what you are trying to say is that the media slowly deteriorates after time?

What media do you suggest, SLK001?

DVD Decrypter has an "Ignore read errors" check box that you can select in the settings.
