  1. I had to temporarily disable "Privacy Control" in my Norton Internet Security before it would let me download. Its the Browser "Referrer" info that gets blocked.

Doom9 is the same way (Anti-Leech)?

    Here's another link:
    http://www.moviecodec.com/download/divx_audio_402.zip

Something else on this page is something called MP43-fix, take a look.

Use at your own risk........Ya feelin' lucky?

  2. Here's another install pack that i didn't want to show you because it's a hack. You make the call.

It's a newer, and more complete version than MP43-fix.

    ...is working!

i re-encoded the asf file with asftools and then muxed an avi file...the other day it had no audio...so i was damn near my wit's end and i had decided to just edit out the video parts i didnt want in the final file and then add a music track on top of it...

but when i tested it before i loaded it in TMPGEnc, there was audio...so now i'm encoding it to MPEG1 and everything is going smooth so far...

it has to have something to do with something we installed, but i have no idea which codec it was that fixed it...i tried to work with the file after every codec download, but it was still the same...no audio...

    now it works...who knows?

i really do appreciate you hanging in there with me and helping out...i couldnt have done it without you 8)

thanks for the advice and the help

turns out that the avi file that i made with asftools that is now working had some sync problems with audio and video...but that program has a fast a incredibly simple tool in it that allowed me to tweak it just a little bit and it's all lined up like it's supposed to be now...

    mission accomplished

  6. If the MKV file plays fine in WMP, you can also open it in TMPEGencoder, you just have to make it use its built in DirectShow reader.

To do so, in TMPEG goto 'file' 'environmental settings' 'vfapi plugin' and click on 'DirectShow source reader filter', then increase priority by clicking on 'higher priority' 2 or 3 times ....
