  1. Hi Guys, (not sexually descriminatively aimed)
I have been using dvd decrypter for some time now, with a good degree of success and some speeds attaining 15.5x. But, today, it has decided that it was only going to reach 2.2x max. Any ideas why? I am using the latest version and have several other versions. I took out 3.1.6.0 and installed 3.1.9.0 No change. I have tried using my rom drive (pioneer) and writing drive (nec 2500) No different.

    Any help would be appreciated
System:- athlon 2ghz 512 ddr 333mhz XP pro.

    cheers,

If your source is scratched or etc. DVD Decrypter slows down, but... it realy reads it!

I had some problems with a DVD which doesn't works on my standalone player - very bad! But DVD Decrypter copied it to HDD (very slow, but with no errors). Big advantage of the program.

    Try with other source!

  4. In addition to the above problem i have, i might add that the "time remaining" clock is flying up and down. I just started to decrypt "Bodyguard" which usually decrypts in under 5 mins, it is now telling me basically to come back tomorrow!!!
There is no strain on the processor, and space is not a problem.
    Any Idea???

    thanks

  5. I had a problem with DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink (ripping, analyzing, encoding) and tried DVD X Copy, which also had problems, where they all would take about 2x as long as they had previously. System Restore to a few days back fixed it.

Sounds like it got kicked back to PIO mode. Uninstall in Device Manager the IDE channel the drive is on, re-boot, Windows will re-install and all should be good.

I owe you a drink buddy!!
Success was mine after i removed the eide drivers and re-booted (twice) it then reached the dizzy heights of 11.9x and ripped bodyguard in 6 mins.

Why would the drivers become defective? and how would i know if i am in PIO mode or not? both my dvd drives are set to DMA.

    thanks.

XP has a tendency to do that, sometimes when adding a new program or just on its own. I use Windows Server 2003 so I'm not sure why but if it happens again, you now know how to fix it.

    Coors Light, BTW.
