Problem joining 2 VideoStudio7 projects to 1 DVD

I'm having problems joining 2 VideoStudio7 projects to 1 DVD -- Both projects are slideshows.

I have 2 seperate projects done in Uleads VideoStudio7 that I want to combine onto 1 DVD. When I combine them and burn it to a VCD, everthing works and plays back OK. But when I do the same thing & burn it to a DVD (about 4.3GB total Size), it burns successfully (no errors) but has a problem on playback. It will play the first project (1st part of the DVD) OK but the 2nd project (2nd part of the DVD) plays the video from the first project with the soundtrack of the 2nd project. Once it comes to the end of the video of the 1st project (which is shorter) it will proceed to finish playing the remaining portion of 2nd project and soundtrack ok. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Interesting workflow.

My personal workflow preference is to render out slideshows as video.

With *no* media in the Ulead VideoStudio timeline, I then click SHARE > CREATE DISC.

I then add my edited media via the ADD VIDEO button.

I then configure my menus and record the content to disc.

This usually overcomes the kind of issue that you describe.

Sorry for taking so long to post a response (never seem to have time to work on these "optional" computer problems). Just wanted let the group know the results.

Problem Resolved!! Ulead tech support directed me to do very similar to Jerry's solution, except they had me create the full DVD mpeg2 files from each project then start an empty project, create disk and ADD the pre-saved mpeg video files. I found the quality of this approch to not be nearly as good. So I tested Jerry's approach -- start with an empty project, Create Disk, then ADD the 2 projects at that point and proceed as normal. This worked too and produced the better qaulity result.
