I'm the A/V Director for my corporation. We're just now getting into making DVDs of our video productions.

Each Spring, we host a major symposium in which the video is usually turned into a polished final product. In years past, it has been a videotape. The past couple of years, I've made it into VCDs. This year, I plan on authoring a DVD and using that as a distribution medium for the video.

I'd also like to be able to put PDFs of any of the symposium materials (handouts, PowerPoint presentations, etc) on the DVD.

How can I go about this? Any tips, ideas, suggestions?

    Thanks,

  2. I do this, but at a home made level.

I use Nero 6 and select the DVD-Video option.

It creates an VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folder. Your VOB, IFO, ect files go into the VIDEO folder. What I do is create a DATA folder with items such as a back-up scan of the DVD case and sometimes a MP3 copy of the soundtrack. I just then drag the folder into the preview plane under the VIDEO and AUDIO folders to be burned. You then get:

    AUDIO_TS
    DATA (With your extra stuff)
    VIDEO_TS (With the video)

It plays fine on stand alone players and PCs can access the data. Just make sure you don't go over the size limit of your DVD.
For the love of God, use hub/core labels on your Recordable Discs!

Thanks! That's exactly what I was looking for.

This is kind of a home-made level, I just happen to be doing it for my company.

I thought that was what I could do, but just wanted to poll the collective wisdom of the forum before making a coaster or two.

    Thanks again!
